I am thrilled with my new pocket chart. It has freed up my old one for a different use. I have played around with “Focus Walls” before and never really had great success with them. I am just thrilled at how useful my pocket chart is as a Focus Wall! I was able to remove the words for practice this morning and them return them to the wall. No blu-tack or hassle at all. It couldn’t have been easier!
I am trying to come up with ways of making my Focus Wall look a little cuter. If I am going to expect myself and my class to stare at it day in, day out then it had better look good! So far I have created the “blackboard” labels that you see below. I really like the font and the shading. I must change my title to make it fit in a little better. Or do you like the bright colours? I’m not sure….
I have created a number of headings that I will be adding to my Focus Wall over the coming days and weeks. It is always going to be a work in progress. I am happy that it will contribute to my classroom having a “print-rich environment” and hopefully will serve to keep us all on track 😉
Here are the headings that I have created so far:
I hope that you will find them useful in your classroom. Please send me a photograph if you do use the !!!
Have fun,
Miss Mernagh 🙂
