I have spotted some great classroom buys this week and did not have the strength to resists!
I just love the notebook. Isn’t the bunting too cute?! I am sorry that I didn’t pick up another one. They are in Pennys and are on sale for a few euro. Hmmmh… not sure when I will be in Wexford again!
The fly swats were 1.49 in a Euro shop. They are so big and colourful. I have an identical set in my classroom at my desk. I am going to keep this set at the back of the room where I will have circle time. I use them to call “teams” to activities etc. There are pink, orange, green and blue in the pack. Guess these will be my team colours this year!
The bell was purchased in Heatons for 3Euro. There was no price listed so I enquired from a Manager. I could tell from his facial expression that he thought I was nuts!! I explained that it would be useful on my desk for getting the attention of my class. He was pretty impressed with my train of though π It make a pretty loud “ding” so I am optimistic of success. LOL!!!
Pritt-Stick hardly requires any explanations. I have none left from the last school year and they were discounted in Tesco this morning. Score!
The two-sided chips are just fantastic. I literally cannot wait to start using them with my kiddos! I bought them from bookdepository and am thrilled with them. The will be great for sorts, graphing, counting, matching, combining sets (adding), partitioning Β (dividing numbers into its maths facts eg 7 counters can be spilt 5 +2 or 6 +1). Love, love, loving the possibilities!
Anyone else hit the shops? Curious to know what people have found. Do you have a “must have”. Please, please share! Oh yeah, if you are in Pennys could you pick me up another notebook π
Have fun,
Miss Mernagh π
I bought the fly swatters and bell last year. Great buys! Tesco have six pencils with fancy erasers on top for β¬1.45 at the moment π
Hi Miss Caffery,
Snap! How funny that we have the same things!! Will have to check out the fancy erasers. Didn’t see those in New Ross but will look out for them tomorrow.
